Jacob Tiranno's Top Ten Films of 2015

2015 was a phenomenal year for motion picture! Box office records were broken as Jurassic World became the fourth highest-grossing film in the country and the world. Star Wars: The Force Awakens became the highest-grossing film in the country, and the third, overall, in the world (both movies have grossed over a billion dollars). But more importantly, this year exhibited films of prominence. I saw pictures in 2015 that not only earned a spot on my annual Top Ten List but a place on my list of favorite films of all-time. Every emotion was tapped, from excitement to horror, to extreme joy, to utter sorrow. It was a year that reminded us why film is so important. Here are my Top Ten Films of 2015:

Jacob Tiranno's Top Ten Films of 2014

2014 was an incredible year for the movies. After a bumpy start, this year delivered home-run after home-run from incredible thrillers to beautiful animated films. This year offered pictures that can keep you up at night in fear, fill your heart with love, and even change your life. One film after another reminded me why I wanted to be a critic, but more importantly, why I am a film lover. This is my Top Ten Films of 2014.

Jacob Tiranno's Top Ten Films Of 2013

2013 was a year of diversity. A year where a film about space and a picture aboutslavery conquer. A year of the underdogs and movies that didn’t fill thousands of theaters, but the ones that quietly slipped past mass audiences. It was a spectacular  year that offers viewers movies that can change their life along with the films that will be cherished and honored for years and years to come. This is my Top Ten Films of 2013.
